Cookies and similar technologies can store information on your device. Some support essential features; others can be used to measure visits or show adverts. You can use PoundTools without accepting optional cookies.
What is currently used?
No analytics or advertising services are currently installed on this site. The analytics and advertising switches do not load a service that has not been configured. If we introduce services or change their purposes, we will update this information and ask for a fresh choice before using them.
- Essential storage: the consent feature remembers the privacy choices you make. Django also uses security and session cookies when needed for features such as administrator sign-in.
- Analytics Cookies: this optional category is for services that measure visits and site usage. It starts off.
- Targeting/Ad Cookies: this optional category is for advertising personalisation and measurement. It starts off.
How we remember your choice
When you save a choice, this feature writes a record called cookie_consent_status to your browser’s local storage. It contains your category choices, the version of the consent notice, and the date and time you saved it. It does not contain your calculator inputs, and this consent feature does not send the record to our server.
We treat a saved choice as valid for up to 365 days. When you next visit after it expires, we ask again before allowing optional services. Local storage does not delete itself on a timer while you are away. Clearing your browser storage also removes the saved choice.
If your browser blocks local storage, you can still make a choice for the current page. We may need to ask again when you visit another page or reload.
Change or withdraw consent
Use Cookie settings in the footer at any time. Choose Reject All to turn off both optional categories, or change individual switches and select Save Preferences. Essential storage remains on.
Closing the dialog or pressing Escape does not save changes or give consent. If you have already saved a choice, that choice remains in effect until you change it or it expires.
If you withdraw a category after a service has started, the page may reload to stop its scripts running on the new page. Withdrawal cannot undo information a service has already received. You can also use your browser’s settings to remove existing cookies and site data.
